Update October 2020 – Lumen has since changed their dashboard, but still works very similarily to how I’ve laid it out in this post.
Want to make an impact on your blog? Lumen5 can shake things up!
These days, video is king, and a quick view of any of your social media feeds will show you that more and more people are using video to get their messages across to their audience.
Video can be used as a mini-blog post and is simple to do with an iPad or smartphone. Just prop it up and record!
But what if you’re camera-shy? I happen to be in this category, so if this is you, I feel your pain! (more…)
I had no idea, when I began my career as a VA, that there were so many coaches “out there”.
Yet, as my client list grew, I learned that there are coaches available for all areas of life. And I didn’t think I needed a coach for my personal life until I won a free coaching session. (more…)
Can you relate to this?
I decided I was going to quit my retail job and “be a VA”. I’d done some VA work prior to this decision and thought, easy peasy! I can do this. Then, there I was in the parking lot, about to hand in my notice, and I was having a freakout.

In a nutshell, these are some things we do on a daily basis:
- work our day job
- hobbies
- exercise
- manage a household
- organize the kids and their activities
- plan meals
- attempt to have a social life
- read
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Having all of these things (and more) on our to-do lists, it comes as no surprise when things fall through the cracks or get forgotten. (more…)
